I have to admit this one was a stumper for me. Most of the time I make quilts that are original one of a kinds and not from a pattern. Patterns are great, I just don't tend to use them. So...my dream project? Something that does well and gets one of the big awards in Houston at International Quilt Festival. It's my dream. Will it happen? Who knows. What I DO know is that I will keep trying. It's out I get out my competitive streak.
Anyways, here are two of my show quilts that I'm especially proud of.
This first one is called Dotville. EVERY fabric in it is a dot batik. It was such fun to make and quilt.
This second one is called A Formal Garden. It's been to a number of shows and is a quilt show dud. I decided that it's done traveling and now it's hanging on my wall where I enjoy it everyday.
I'm always working on a new show quilt or three. They are my dream projects. The ones I hope do well.
I hope you get to quilt today!
Suzy
They are both wonderful!! I don't know why A Formal Garden is a quilt show dud...makes no sense to me!
