This time I used the same 80 weight poly thread and a 1/4 inch seam allowance instead of a 1/8 seam allowance. It worked much better, but it was really bulky. A reader suggested I wet the seams to pull off the paper. This is something I definitely will have to try sometime.

Wow! Amazing difference. I can picture it done in Civil War or pastel fabrics, too, for a totally different finish!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy friend is a whiz at getting the papers out, she runs the tip of her seam ripper along the seam line and it helps rip the paper off. I love how the same block gives such a different look!
