A few weeks ago we went up to the North Shore of Lake Superior here in Minnesota. It was gorgeous and lovely as always. These gorgeous fuchsia flowers were growing in a pot outside one of the restaurants we stopped at. I'm not sure I've ever noticed this particular flower before. They are stunningly gorgeous and would make a great applique flower if I can figure out what to do with all the folds they seem to have!
Earlier in the week I was in another restaurant locally and there was a great piece of wall art. I can see this being done with English paper piecing!
I hope you get to quilt today!

The fuschias are beautiful. When I was a kid in San Francisco we had trees of them in our backyard. I've had trouble growing them in pots in our area of Kansas. Lovely grille--you are right...EPP!

ReplyDeleteI'll wail for you to attempt the fuchsias but the wall are screams celtic entrelac to me. That's one I'd love to try. It's really funny how quilters take pictures of things they see for future quilts. About 10 years ago, I had to go to a conference in Reno. My husband came along since neither of us had been to Reno. We went to Carson City and I took pictures of all pressed tin ceiling in a restaurant and the stained glass windows in the church. :)
ReplyDeleteThat has to be the most beautiful and healthy fuschia I've ever seen! You can do it!!! :)
