Our Minnesota Quilter's Show was last weekend and I had a blast! One of my classes was with the amazing Kathy McNeil. Her pictorial quilts are simply stunning. I've always wanted to take a class from her. She was also teaching us how to use the Appliquik tools which I was also interested to learn. Look at how I managed to turn this crazy shaped piece successfully......YES, it took a LONG time, but was well worth it.
I also managed really tiny pieces!
Starting to add pieces!
And the octopus is all glued down! I used Elmer's School Glue and a VERY fine tip nozzle.
Here you can see that I've blanket stitched around all the edges and the background fabric still looks nice and flat.
I had fun with the eyeball....
The whole top complete....now to layer it!
I hope you get to quilt today!
Suzy
Your appliqué looks fabulous! I’m not familiar with Appliquik. Is is an adhesive/iron in stabilizer?
