I am not a long arm quilter. HOWEVER, I love what some of the long arm teachers do so every once in a while I find myself in a long arm class. I enjoyed the new Handiquilter Amara. Here's what I did....
This was another students work.........I like the different fills in the circles.
I hope you get to quilt today!

Every once in a while I think about "What if" I had access to a longarm......but remember how much I love to move the fabric! Quilting some of those king sized quilts, however, really makes me wonder how nice it would be to just 'load' the quilt and have at it!!! Space and $$$ are big deterrents, also!!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI hear you Doreen! My mom has one and is tempting me to attempt it....I have a large quilt I need to do and I may just go for it.
DeleteI'm impressed with your efforts! Everytime I have tried a longarm I feel like I am 20 feet away from seeing the needle! 😊
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you Janet! But I keep trying....
DeleteTest to see if my comment goes to email......
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job! Did you use a ruler or template of some kind to stitch the scallops before you added your feathers?
ReplyDeleteWe used stencils and pounce powder
