I love patterns, especially scroll work and feathers. I saw this hanging in a friend's apartment complex lobby and was astounded that I loved it, but it wasn't symmetrical at all. I have always had the hardest time doing things that are asymmetrical. I try, but I always feel like I fail because symmetrical is so calming to me.
Now comes the real question....could I design something like this? Maybe. Someday.
On a personal note, I visited our new lake lot (we're camping) for the first time this weekend. It was gorgeous and peaceful and I look forward to spending more time there in the future.
AND...I have two new quilts at their debut show, Home Machine Quilter's Showcase, in Salt Lake City this coming weekend. Fingers crossed! I'll be sure to share pictures of my new show quilt once I know how it did.
Love your lake frontage property! Nothing more soothing than drifting off to sleep with the sounds of gentle waves lapping the shore!!! The best to you on the show!!!!ReplyDelete
