SCRAPS! We all have scraps. The real question is what to do with them. I can't seem to let go of my Island Batik scraps. They're so luscious. BUT...when the bag started overflowing I knew it was time to get busy. I pulled out my Accuquilt Go! Big and got busy! Thank you Accuquilt and Island Batik for all this amazing fun!
Here's one of the many piles I started with after a huge round of ironing.
I laid them out along my cutting die nicely and went to work cutting many, many, many 1 1/2 inch squares. I still have more than half of them and the quilt is done....uh, oh. I see another scrap quilt coming soon!
I am an obsessive pinner....this is what about 250 pairs of squares look slike.
And ironed...
And pinned for the next round...
Stay tuned!
I hope you get to quilt today!
Suzy
I love seeing all the Island Batik fabrics like that. I see a couple that I have in my stash.
ReplyDeleteI am certainly not an obsessive pinner. For two squares, I almost never pin.
Burgoyne is an awesome pattern for scraps. Nice seeing your squares and partial blocks.
ReplyDeleteI love that you pin so much. I have tried three times to comment, but it is not loving me.....lets see if this works.
ReplyDeleteOh, I can't wait to see this! Do you pull your pins as you sew?
ReplyDeleteWhen I have some free time I want to go through my island batik scraps and cut a bunch of squares and triangles for a scrappy quilt! Can't wait to see what yours looks like!
