Black and White and Green All Over

You know that moment when you're so into a project you forget to take pictures?  Yup.  That happened.  But I adore how it turned out.  It still needs to be quilted, but I really love the color play and the swirling motion.  Enjoy!

This is the only other picture I have.  I decided to do open seams on this quilt.  It was interesting.  It's not something I usually do.  I think my preference is mostly to one side seams with open seams when necessary.  For this quilt, I wanted open seams because the white fabric is really see through.

All the pieces were cut on my mom's Accuquilt Go BIG cutter.  It's amazing that in 2 hours I got all the pieces cut for the entire quilt.

I hope you get to quilt today!

  1. Your quilt top is beautiful... Seriously, you cut out the WHOLE THING in 2 hours?!! I bought a GO! Baby and a bunch of dies over a year ago, but haven't had a chance to use it yet. Now I'm wishing I'd gone with the regular size GO! so I could use some of the larger dies... But I can't really justify the cost of purchasing a bigger GO! when I'm not using the one I already have!

  2. I love this. Do you know how you are quilting it yet? If you ask what my favorite color is I will tell you yellow. However....I own a lot of green. I sure could have used a Go cutter a few months ago when making a burgoyne surrounded quilt. The cutting seemed endless.
