Free Motion Friday - A Vinyl Experiment

It's been a crazy week.  I teach third grade for a living and this week was our professional development week for the new school year.  I am a tired girl!  I just wanted to quilt something small.  I was cleaning up my sewing room and came across a piece of vinyl so I decided to try stitching it without layering it to see what happened.  Perhaps it could become a bag!  Here are the results.

The quilting turned out beautifully.  I just had some fun with motifs and then surrounding each motif with an echo.

I hope you get to quilt today!

  4. That is beautiful! I have seen quilting on leather, so vinyl makes sense. If you have enough, it would look great for a large bag to carry school papers, etc in.
