Island Batik Finishing Spree Part 4

Have you ever had a quilt pattern you've always wanted to make, but it looked way too hard?  For me that has always been the double wedding ring.  However, after sewing many curves using Accuquilt's curved block on board dies I got up the courage to try it.

I was excited to try this die because it would make the cutting so much easier.  I cut the backgrounds in black and then cut up a variety of colorful Island Batik scraps for the rest of the pieces.  It went together quite slick.  I would totally be willing to make another one!

I used a single fold bias binding to do the curvy binding as well.  It too worked nicely.

I hope you get to quilt today!

  1. Your quilt is so pretty, the colors are lovely with the black background. A double wedding ring is on my list of quilts to make someday. Thanks for the eye candy!

  2. Beautiful, Suzy! I've never tried to make one of these. I'll bet the Accuquilt dies makes it almost easy.
