I started with a fat quarter pack of Island Batik's Catching Dreams collection. I made my monthly project (see below), but I still had a lot of fabric left. I cut it up into 2" squares and played with them. Below is the results! It looks like one huge snowflake. It was fun to play with color placement with darks on the inside and lights on the outside plus my favorite gray Island Batik solid.
Here is the monthly quilt I made with the rest of the collection. It's one of my favorites!
For the quilting I just did large overall feathers all over the snowflake. It was fun to play with different kinds of feathers.
