Christmas in July Blog Hop!

I have made a lot of Christmasy items over the years.  These are some of my favorites.  They've been hanging on the wall for almost two years now without taking them down.  No one in my family seems to mind, so I keep them up!  I made the stockings for a Christmas in July Blog Hop a few years ago.  The Christmas wreath was one of Helen Godden's December sew alongs.

These are my Christmas finishes for this month.

I made this first project for Accuquilt using their circle dies.  It was such fun to make and I've never done a tree skirt before.

This second project was for Island Batik and I got to give it to my friend Karen!  Such fun.  I tend to do more Christmas sewing in July than any other time of year.  Lol.

Be sure to check out all the other fun projects on the Blog Hop!

I hope you get to quilt today!

  11. I think it would be wonderful to leave up some of my Christmas decorations all year and I can see why you'd leave those up. They are beautiful! Your circle die tree skirt is really pretty and a great idea for using circle dies. My mind has been kick-started on ways to use them now...thanks! That's a sweet gift for your friend, too. Thank you for sharing your "then and now" with us!

  12. I love your tree skirt. You made me giggle over leaving your stockings and block up all year. It wouldn't be noticed around here.

  20. I'm mystified by the Christmas in July quilting trend. I find that I am so much more motivated to work on projects that match my mood and season -- but of course, the Christmas season is usually way too busy for much quilting to happen, which is why my Jingle quilt is STILL a UFO... ;-). I especially love your stockings and tree skirt!

  23. I love that you leave the stockings up year round. I left my card holder up for over a year and have a few small items that I don’t take down, but my husband does seem to mind...

  31. What fun projects. I really like your Christmas tree skirt - I've never made one but think I'll have to add one to my to do list. Actually that's just a mental list of "someday" projects. A tree skirt would be a good addition to the list though.
